Cruising out of the shipyard only 18 short months ago, Scenic Jasper was the first of the next generation of river ships to be built by the Australian cruise and tour brand.
At capacity, it is quite populated with space for 169 passengers, however over 135 metres in length, it still puts forward a feeling of spaciousness with four decks available, three of which featuring passenger staterooms and suites. The majority of passenger staterooms are Balcony Suites, each of which measure 19 square metres and include a Sun Lounge balcony.
The next category up takes guests into the Deluxe Balcony Suites, which are slightly larger at 21sqm, with the top room category being the two Royal Panorama Suites with a very comfortable 44sqm.
Six onboard dining venues give guests a wide variety from which to choose, ranging from a Main Restaurant split into two different venues – Crystal Dining and Table La Rive. On the deck above, you’ll find the Panorama Lounge & Bar and River Cafe for a more casual dining venue. On the top deck, guests also have the Riverview Terrace for casual al fresco fare. Travellers can also order room service, delivered to their room by an army of butlers.
Scenic Jasper can be found most of the time cruising the popular Amsterdam to Budapest route on a number of itineraries. At times, she ventures further down the Danube from the Hungarian capital, into Serbia and beyond to flirt with the Black Sea. If Scenic is on your short list for your next river cruise, come onboard for a look around.
