Aqua Expeditions has scheduled a series of Women's Only cruises for 2017.

Small ship luxury expedition brand Aqua Expeditions is inviting the girls to get together and head off on one of its newly scheduled ‘Ladies Only’ river cruises on the Mekong River in Asia or South America’s Amazon River in 2017.

The limited edition series of experiential cruises will run at different times throughout next year, starting from January. At this stage, two itineraries have been released, however more have been slated for release based on popularity. The series is aimed at encouraging solo female travellers to get their girl-friends together to head off on an adventure cruise holiday in a safe and inclusive environment onboard.

Both Aqua Expeditions ships offer top-deck swimming pools to enjoy as you cruise.

Bookings made before the end of this month will see the single supplement waived for solo travellers, as well as 60-minute massage included per person.

The two cruises scheduled so far are:

  • A three-night itinerary along the Mekong River in Vietnam, departing from Ho Chi Minh City on 17 January 2017, sailing on the 16-suite (32-passenger) Aqua Mekong.
  • A four-night cruise on the Amazon River in Peru, departing from Nauta on 20 March 2017. This cruise will sail onboard the 20-suite (40-passenger) Aria Amazon.

Both adventures are highly immersive in the destinations they cruise, with opportunities for travellers to explore deep corners of the river on kayaks and cycling excursions on land. Guests will also be able to go hiking onshore, on wildlife viewing walks and to meet with local community members in villages dotting the river.

Travellers can also indulge their foodie passions by accompanying the ship’s chef to the local markets to look at the fresh produce which gets taken back to the ship. This produce is also incorporated into onboard cooking classes, where guests can prepare local delicacies and regional specialties as part of a new skill set to take back and show off to friends and family. Both ships also feature a spa facility and a top-deck infinity swimming pool.

Both itineraries are currently on sale, with more to be added for later in the year.
