P&O Cruises has deepened its reach into the National Rugby League (NRL) in Australia and broadened its range of sports-themed cruises, signing on as an Official Membership Partner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs – a move which has also seen the line announce it will run a dedicated fan cruise for fans of the NRL side.
As the Official Cruise Line of the Rabbitohs, fans of the team will be able to set sail with current, former and legendary players and coaching staff on a four-night themed round-trip fan cruise from Sydney to Moreton Island, departing from the NSW capital on 04 May 2017. Special events scheduled to take place on the Pacific Jewel cruise will include a cocktail function, Q&A session in the theatre and a rugby league themed trivia night.
While in Moreton Island, travellers will be able to head ashore to participate and spectate on a special Rabbitohs Legends touch football game. Rabbitohs VIP’s on the cruise will also be mixing with fans in a number of activities on the island including quad-biking, parasailing, 4WD touring and more.
“Rugby League is a true community sport and we know many of our regular guests are great fans of the game so it’s fantastic to be able to partner with the Rabbitohs and bring the action onboard our ships with this special cruise,” P&O Cruises president Sture Myrmell said.
Staterooms on this fan cruise are currently on sale on the P&O Cruises website, with an Inside cabin priced from $629 per person quad share.
