Carnival Spirit‘s seasonal relocation from Australia to China in mid-2018 will see the ship make maiden calls in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Koh Samui, Thailand as part of a 19-day one-way journey between Sydney and Singapore.
The voyage, which will also feature the newly introduced Carnival Journeys format of greater cultural immersion and extra activities and games, will set sail from Sydney on 03 May 2018 and arrive in Singapore on 22 May. Other ports of call on the itinerary include Airlie Beach, Darwin, Benoa (Bali) in Indonesia. The visit by Carnival Spirit to Ho Chi Minh City will in fact be an overnight call, giving travellers a great chance to explore the southern Vietnam city.
After its regularly scheduled drydock refurbishment and maintenance, the ship will then continue on to Shanghai, where it will spend the off-season before returning to Australia in late November 2018.
Carnival’s new Academy of Fun, which is part of Carnival Journeys, will see cultural dance, music and entertainment feature onboard the sailing. Madonna will be blasting from the sound system during the Throwback Sea Days, where crew don uniforms from the 1980’s as the ship is transformed back to reflect the style of cruising in place at the time.
Passengers will also have a chance to get to know their crew in a whole different light with Q&A sessions, ship tours and a crew talent show.
The 19-night repositioning cruise is now on sale, priced from $2,449 per person twin share.
