Seabourn releases a rendering of The Retreat.

Guests cruising on the upcoming brand new luxury ship Seabourn Encore who seek a temporary cocoon of tranquility, peace and quiet in which to metaphorically lock themselves away for a day at a time have been offered The Retreat, with Seabourn today revealing details and images of the new onboard space.

To be located on the Deck 12 rooftop, The Retreat will feature 14 private cabanas available to rent on a daily basis for US$350 per couple, with bookings able to be made at any stage of the cruise via the Guest Services Specialists in the Seabourn Square central guest hub. A fifteenth cabana also available to reserve will be set up as a spa treatment room for guests to enjoy personalised spa treatments for an entire day.

Like the rest of the ship’s interiors, The Retreat has been designed by Adam D. Tihany and will reflect a flower-shaped canopy, with each cabana shielded from the wind and sun and ringed around a central whirlpool. Resembling homely living rooms, cabanas will feature an individual flat-screen television and refrigerator stocked with customised refreshments selected by each guest.

Outside of the cabanas themselves, a bar and table service area will be available for guests to enjoy champagne, cocktails and healthy snacks. The central whirlpool will be maintained at a comfortable temperature, while sun lotions, fresh fruit baskets, Evian mist spray, thick towels and personalised bathrobes will also be on offer to guests of the luxurious haven.

Construction of Seabourn Encore is currently well underway in Italy, with the ship to be christened in Singapore in early January before heading south to operate its first series of voyages in Australia and New Zealand.

Seabourn Encore will be ready to sail in December.
