An incentive of free airfares has been added by river cruise brand Avalon Waterways in an effort to entice travellers to secure a place on an upcoming health and wellness-themed sailing in France, hosted by brand Ambassador and Australian TV star Deborah Hutton.
The 11-day journey is scheduled to depart from Paris on 18 August, 2016 onboard the two-year-old Avalon Poetry II. Guests will see Hutton joined by life coach Lyndall Mitchell and wine expert Nick Stock, traversing between the French capital and the Cote d’Azur, heading southbound through the enchanting regions of Burgundy and Provence.
Sailing along the Saone and Rhone rivers to destinations including Lyon, Avignon and Aries, guests will have the opportunity to explore some of France’s best and most well known food and wine regions before concluding in Monte Carlo. The voyage will allow guests to experience the region’s local flavours, all the while engaging in a daily program of activities celebrating health, wellbeing, and life, set to the backdrop of regional and rural France.
Described by Hutton as “one of my favourite destinations in the world,” the itinerary allows for guests to experience activities handpicked by Hutton with each stemming from her ‘Balance by Deborah Hutton’ program of wellness and healthy living. Morning rituals onboard will include yoga and mediation led by Hutton and Mitchell on the ship’s sky deck, while dinner will see wine connoisseur Stock lead discussions on what is being served each evening, backed by tasting excursions to local vineyards.
In addition to the seven-night cruise, Hutton’s custom-designed tour includes extended hotel stays in both Paris and Monaco at either end of the sailing, all onboard meals and drinks at dinner and any onboard activities. Staterooms are priced from $5,518 per person twin share and now includes the proverbial carrot of free flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin or Cairns to France.
