The Polar Regions will be visited by Ponant in 2017

Eighteen months ahead of the first departure, French cruise line Ponant has launched its 2017 Winter itineraries for the Mediterranean, Baltic and Northern Europe regions. Nearly 50 cruises ranging in duration from one to two weeks are now on sale, with early booking discounts of up to 30% available now.

The season will begin in June 2017 and sees a Ponant ship sailing in Greenland, the Baffin Sea and Spitsbergen viewing wildlife in the Polar Regions. At the same time, voyages will also be available in Scandinavia, visiting Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. As the weather cools down later in the year, ships will relocate to the more palatable Mediterranean region, visiting ports such as Athens, Bonifacio, Istanbul and Venice.

Each Ponant voyage includes an Open Bar and the services of naturalists and qualified, experienced guides, experts and lecturers all speaking about a variety of fields relevant to the destinations being visited.
