The town of Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island, near Adelaide welcomed Pacific Eden this past weekend for its maiden visit to the island, as the P&O Cruises ship inches closer to Sydney for Wednesday’s five-ship spectacular in Sydney Harbour. Eden is travelling from Fremantle to Sydney on its maiden 10-night voyage.

Passengers disembarked for the day to wander among the island themselves or to take shore excursions to Cape Willoughby and its iconic lighthouse, touring by four-wheel-drive vehicles or quad-bikes or view the seals at the aptly-named Seal Bay.

Kangaroo Island features on several P&O Cruises voyages visiting Australia’s southern coastline. P&O ‘Sea Australia’ departures are available from Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle also visiting places such as Port Lincoln and Esperance.
