MS Koningsdam coming together, nearly ready.
The final pieces are coming together on Holland America Line's newest shiip

Six months out from the debut of Holland America Line’s newest ship MS Koningsdam, the line has released the first in a series of short videos to kick-start the anticipation among cruise fans as the final pieces in the construction of the new ship are put together.

Videos are hosted by the ship’s cruise director Jonathan Rogers, with each featuring one of the ship’s principal officers introducing viewers to one particular aspect of the new vessel.

MS Koningsdam will feature capacity for 1,331 travellers and be the first in a new class of ship for Holland America Line known as Pinnacle Class. The design will incorporate a variety of new innovations such as Sel de Mer, a French seafood brasserie; farm-to-table culinary arts concept delivered by Food & Wine Magazine; a new-look Lido Market and main dining room and in a first for the line, purpose-built staterooms for both families and solo travelers.

MS Koningsdam will sail from April 2016

Many of the most popular elements of Holland America Line will also be retained, such as Music Walk, the B.B. Kings Blues Club and a 270-degree LED projection entertainment concept at the World Stage.
